The problem with airdrops (even post TGE) is that there's no way to calculate the ROI and therefore impossible to tell if they're cost-effective. So why do projects keep doing them? My best guess is that they don't know what else to do with their tokens.

If your token has utility, theres a way to calculate the ROI.

if the token has fees it's a lot easier to calculate ROI and can just measure as return on incentive spend. just see if airdrop recipients drove more fees than the airdrop rewards they received
