I've been working through my existential crisis lately and apparently my psyche decided it's done enough and it's time to dive deep into the comfort zone.
For me this means a musical theatre rabbit hole.
It crept up innocuously - with an old friend, Chicago. I stumbled onto We Both Reached for the Gun video one day and had to compare all the versions (the Korean ones are so good!).
Then a song from Heathers snuck into my Spotify playlist. Huh, didn't know there was a Heathers musical... Oh boy, I didn't know what I was getting into. Got to rewatch the movie first. Then came the West end proshot, and it was love at first sight. Then I had to see all the Candy Store and Dead Girl Walking versions YouTube carries. Then I finally gave in and watched the OG off-Broadway bootleg, and felt complete.
I'm leaving you with this lovely take on Heathers, hope it becomes a hidden gem for someone like it was for me ❤️💚💛
