Who are the Druze in the Middle East? A large population of Druze can be found in both Syria and Israel. Druze are Arabs and are Muslim minority sect. They are mostly outcast by the rest of the Muslim. Most of the Druze are pro-Israel. All Druze males in Israel are enlisted in the IDF much like all Israeli serving in the IDF. Druze in Israel are fellow brothers in arms with the rests of the Israeli in the IDF. Some believe that Druze came from the lineage of Jethro who is the father-in-law of Moses in the Bible. Both Jethro and Moses are respected Prophets to the Druze Muslim.

As such when the Syrian Druze leader called for help to save the Druze population in Syria from being annihilated by the Sunni Jihadist loyal to the current al-Julani regime, he pleaded for help to Israel and IDF to save the Druze in Syria. Many Druze in Israel broke through the border fences and storm into Syria to help their Druze brothers in Syria. Israel and IDF stopped the Israeli Druze from storming into Syria so as to prevent them from being killed as it is a guerrilla warfare. Instead Israel and IDF promised the Israeli Druze that IDF will help the Syrian Druze and will protect the Syrian Druze. Israel did send fighter jets to bomb military targets in Damascus and even the Presidential palace sending a clear message to Al-Julani to stop his secretive campaign to exterminate the Druze population in Syria. IDF even dispatched IDF Commandos units into Syria to aid the Druze in Syria.
