i mean probably 40% of DJs use these? interesting thing is that these are the only headphones where there's semi-consensus around next is probably aiaiai?

extremely common amongst professional DJs, yes, due to the extreme durability and replace-ability of all the parts. i actually don't love the ergonomics personally so i'm looking for another model to use not sure what else is very common but i see a lot of Audio-Technicas in the booth

i think the sound and the ergo are the primary reasons actually they sound really good in and out of the booth

yup i use them to mix my own productions sometimes. stellar sound but they tend to fall off of my head when i DJ. i may have gotten a dud pair or sth tbh (i also have a small head lol/idk) for DJing the sound quality doesn't matter all that much in most cases, you really just need the hats and claps to beat match properly. although some techno/progressive house DJs would disagree depending on their style (it's hard to hear clearly in the booth behind a big system no matter what you do anyway). oh and a lot of people are just using sync anyway lmeow

>for DJing the sound quality doesn't matter all that much in most cases, you really just need the hats and claps to beat match properly. hard disagree i know why you say that. and that says more about what *you* use headphones for when DJing. but if you are generalizing i really disagree. sound matters for me quite a big deal because i use headphones very differently when playing.

it's hard to hear over hearing protection and reverb in a club with a huge/loud sound system is all i'm saying, no matter what headphones you use. maybe not your experience?
