A reflection that never ceases to make me think is: If someone has 1M friends, will each friend give him $1 and he can become a millionaire? It's just that we find it so difficult to let go of material things that sometimes we prefer to look the other way before helping someone, even if they are supposedly a "friend." But we give more to someone with money without even thinking about it, as we have been well taught.
