Around the $3K mark for ETH, there’s $2.2 billion in short liquidations concentrated. This is an all-time record for Ethereum. Here’s your alpha: the Circle IPO went great, and Wall Street big players are buying in. Stablecoins are a major narrative under the current U.S. administration. CRCL is a stock market bet on stablecoins. ETH is the stablecoin bet on the crypto market itself, as it’s the main DeFi chain. And there aren’t that many such bets—AAVE, ENA, FLUID come to mind, maybe a few more tickers. Anyone here seriously doubting that shorts around the $3K level will get liquidated?
