In Nigeria, it’s easier to buy a government job than to earn one. Pay ₦500k to join Road Safety. ₦1M to join immigration. ₦2M for CBN. The poor write tests. You don’t need skills to get a job — just connections, cash, or a godfather. That’s why the most qualified are unemployed, and the most connected are in charge. Mediocrity runs the system while brilliance runs to Canada.
