Flow 2024 to June 2025:
- Daily notes for general site info
- no tags used in vault
- tasks used haphazardly
- project specfic folders
- Archetectual/service plans (revit pdfs) loaded into each project specific folder (open only on phone as pdfs would often crash obsdian on comp)
Current flow: (June vault refresh + next few months) (the structure of my vault has slowly taken shape over the past 6 months(im a slow learner))
- removed all archetectural plan pdfs (will use bluebeam pdf viewer until i figure out a good process)
- Daily note for general site info - start inputting more tags
- daily note tasks - find a way to use more effectivly
- bases to view and update all past years daily notes with tags added
- tag updates:
- Project tags (each site i work on, usual 2 to three months per project)
- Systems (notes on my processes and flows)
- RFIs
- site instructions
- council inspections
- engineer approval processes/communication frameworks
- internal communitation flows with PMs, designers etc
- external comms templates
- BPMN list of different process patterns for all of the above
- Materials/specifations - start a base keeping a record of materials/equipment used by trades on site etc (ie sliding door spec, door handel spec) (This will only be on things i need to focus on, not everything on site)
- Trades - build info out on trades - who we use and what they do
Future flows/wishlist:
- A really flexable gantt chart that can work well with tasks/calendar/kanbans etc
- BPMN plugin that integrates tasks in some way (pipedream, but hey)
- a powerful updated tasks plugin (not sure how and why, but idk)
- multiplayer mode (system3) This looks epic
- i have obsidian that installed on my work comp, i would like to store all my systems/proceses in my personal vault, and draw them into my work vault. This way, my ip remains mine if i get rugged by job ( ot that they know what obsidian is)
- android widget where i can quick note into a daily note
- some form of xmtp integration. Not sure how yet, but i feel like there is an opportunity there for vault to vault messaging (probably stupid idea) 1 reply
