as tipping tokens proliferate, it's worth pointing out that DEGEN wasn't special because it was a tipping token
it was special because the coin supply was distributed in a creative manner
in the beginning it wasn't even distributed via tips, you were rewarded for bangers
tipping, in and of itself, isn't that special of a feature
what matters is finding creative ways to distribute ownership
It is still used and liked to this day. I like how it all happens, let's see what Jacek comes up with next, as far as I understand, the team is currently working on its own application, I think it will surprise us.
almost makes me think an Impact DEX kind of a set up will be cool - $ liquidity on one side, Impact (measurable) on the other side. the more impact you create, the more $ you get rewarded with.
