They just keep fucking with the spam label algos ... so annoying. Just leave them be and don't hide numbers, sheesh. On @recaster-fc I can see my full follower count, which I prefer. I know there's a chunk of those that are spammers, I don't need @farcaster adding filtering to it IMHO. 🤷

Yeah it's just unnecessary IMO. At least around hiding Followers, I know they want to avoid counting engagement for FC Rewards though, and that makes sense (but I still feel they're being far too aggressive about it).

People want to definitely feel like they're not invisible. FC rewards feels very inner circle'ish to me... same with trending. For instance, the other day we had our resident VGM pianist cast which had well over a couple thousand views and 300 likes (pretty big for this platform) but didn't hit the trending, while much smaller cast were. Same for FC rewards, if the same type of people or clique engage with the cast, it usually shoots up in points. Not the larger population of FC. Points are sort of pick and chosen.

Unfortunately I understand exactly what you're saying. Feels like it's a reflection of a clique based on very early users/FC team, rather than a reflection of true popularity. It may not be the way things actually work, or intentioned, but yeah, I get how people feel like that.
