The guardian is a shambolic news source.

No news source is perfect Situational —- Would trust them with fat kid reports more than migrant news if that makes sense

I’m not arguing about the food stuff, all very valid and concerning (im also a parent, and someone battling excess weight at the moment) , I’m just less trusting of anything that comes out of the guardian as someone who lives in Scotland. I don’t believe anything that comes out of the UKs msm or papers these days. I question everything I see, and go do my own research of the topics outwith the echo chamber of SM.

Youtube, I'd never considered Youtube until I had my first kid back in 2018. I get access to information from both sides, what's even better I get to watch interviews and debates (this is the best bit about it) on certain topics, but there's also a heap of boots on the ground journalism where people just head out to protests and let the viewer see exactly what the MSM doesn't want to show you. It was really eye opening because it really highlights the amount of BS the MSM peddles. I also use the internet, so if there is something I've heard, I'll go away and read about it from multiple sources. It's great for history, debates, protests, and world news. It works for me and I'm fully aware this is my preference, etc and not for everyone.

It’s cool, not a fan of shorts, I prefer seeing the long form. I really hate the labelling and political slurs that are aimed to shut down debate and dicusson. Why I love watching raw footage at protest or debates, It allows me to to draw my own conclusions or go off and research a certain thing that was said or the topic being debated. It’s crazy how tribal politics are now, people can be for same sex marriage (seen as left), but also be for vetting who comes across our borders illegally (seen a right). What’s also great about YouTube is old videos of interviews or debates resurfacing that people have long forgot about or had no idea about that illuminate how hypocritical some folk have become. I’m no longer on X or Instagram anymore, or Reddit. Still on Facebook due to family photos, but otherwise I’d be gone from there too as ive been on it since 2007.
