it's been 8days since i committed to post 1video/day. feels like months. some thoughts + a thread of my 8 videos. 

skits are much harder form of commitment than i originally thought they'd be. lots of ideating throughout the entire day, script writing, camera adjusting, editing. i said <10s videos would be for "light" days, but the shorter they are, the harder they are to produce cause u compress the time in which u convey story. clearer in hindsight

pros:
- leaning into a medium i love
- posting/replying feels more natural (main reason why i committed to start)
- stay up to date

cons:
- half my day+ used up, consciously/subconsciously
- screen time way up
- stay up to date

these vids r great and he calls out an important insight which is that as a “creator” (of any type, really, I would say) your screen time is SICKENING 

I would EVEN say it’s a material reason for lack of consistency which is rule #1 , ahead of volume, which is ahead of quality

ya, prob in beginning quality matters less than just getting something out and seeing what sticks. i’d say if ur video meets a (somewhat low) threshold of quality, you’re prob ok. but alas, this is all more relevant w tiktok, shorts rather than fc atm

hmmmm not off the top but I know something will come to me eventually…. I went to a TikTok class a bit back which informed my thinking a lot (cut30)

We could debate the placement of quality and volume too, maybe they are flip flopped— I just know lots of posts is what gets you in favor of the algo, more shots on goal the better

consistency > volume > quality is pretty good framework. any other nuggets or refs u can share?
