this was happening in eastern europe during communism but instead of waiting in line for the next consumerism b2c slop drop you needed someone to hold you a spot in line for food for your whole family for the week or you wouldn't eat :)

i like coffee, crypto, animals, plants, drones, 3D printing, midjourney, and stickers

if somebody's gonna get to go ahead, i'd rather them pay somebody like this than say the restaurant just letting you go to the front for extra $40 to them. this haunted house here does that...i guess fast pass at disney land is like that too
