pretty rough first go. every time i start, i realize i’m missing something. this time it was rough grit sandpaper and a compass and a scribe. so this is very very rough. but the vision is forming … (this is casting wax)

I did this once and the instructor was so hardcore about getting every imperfection out of the wax. He made his shine like a mirror. He told us that anything you see in the wax will be 100x harder to remove from the metal

it’s true, here is another ring i made where you can see the scratches on the side. tbh though i think imperfections can also be a feature, it just has to kinda make sense as a whole. obvi the one i posted is not of a quality i would sell to someone though lol
