They need to go full on into personal health. Someone once told me Apple, if they wanted, could become the most valuable healthcare company if they wanted to. I think either releasing a health focused watch or an ecosystem of iPad, watch and AirPods juiced for personal health would take over completely.

I like them as a health company because due to their other business lines they don’t have to fall into what I call “DAU mindset” I believe continuous monitoring should be passive and not bother you all the time unless there’s an actual problem or truly valuable insight. It should silently collect data and just let you live your life without you having to be an anxious freak constantly monitoring things. Most health apps have “DAU mindset” that runs counter to this. They need to show daily active users that grow, which in turn forces neuroticism and then churn from a user. Apple doesn’t need to charge a sub, doesn’t care if you open Health every day and avoids this

Yup, that’s a powerful access point to have. It’s why the Apple Watch has has such success and been able to get the volume of cardiac studies and balance measurements. Almost no friction to get involved.
