Everything is so disgusting man. Can you tell I’m really depressed? I called 911 yesterday on a guy outside my window I genuinely thought was dead. He was face down flat on the ground not moving I sat there fretting inside the window watching as dozens of people just ignored the guy. Fine this is on my soul today. When I got on the phone with EMS they told me to approach him so went outside and I did. I screamed ARE YOU OKAY in his ear. Nothing happened. The cops came, proved he was alive and left. They got him sitting but he was so sick looking—he was struggling with remaining upright and collapsed within 5min of the police leaving.

I first called 311 and they said no — this is a 911 issue. Please be aware there are wait times

On wait times, I called 911 twice in the last 18 months. First time it took about 7-9 minutes, second time took about 4 minutes. Both involved a person getting struck by a car.

Here in ATX have seen reports of up to 20min What is the point, at that point I especially think of the speed required to save someone in cardiac arrest May as well not come

right? What also blew my mind, each time I called I said “I know you must be getting a lot of calls about this” they would reply with “this is the only call we have received to that location/area” 🤯
