This is shocking, little has been said about it here in Brazil, unfortunately also one of the countries with the highest rate of femicide that exist :(

It’s a very complicated issue, in Brazil there is a really strong culture of a machismo present and mainly reproduced in the senses of “possession” She was from a relatively small city and in the countryside where this culture of women doing what men wants is generations, unfortunately. And in these cities in the countryside this violence is really common to happen, there are several cases of this mainly domestic violence and some very heavy as was her case :( I hope so, he will be punished the way he deserved, but if he is framed as feminicide, which was exactly what happened, he can really get good years
