I find this to be an interesting topic. Does tipping/giving make you feel happier? Purpose > Transaction (Lewis Hyde The Gift, highly recommend) Auto-tipping can commoditize the part where you choose to be generous. That little moment of intent. that’s where the oxytocin hits. No conscious choice then no chemical release. Need to retrain my brain it’s not just a like we are giving… It speed up trust loops (expecting nothing in return 🙌), but do we risk losing the warm fuzzies? “But neither money nor machines can create. They shuttle tokens of energy, but they do not transform. A civilization based on them puts people out of touch with their creative powers.” - Lewis Hyde

I used to do it but now I don’t. It went from something where I felt like I was genuinely rewarding quality to an accelerant on the trashification of the timeline.

I’m finding that i forget it’s on & just like like like everything as usual which make me feel sad & broke. 😆😭 I do like the direction here very much & think we’ll look back at these early tipping experiments w gratitude.
