Our mayor invited me to a meeting to discuss Blue Zone certification for the town. I said I believe it’d be a waste of money and time that only benefits the certifying body. Our town has a deficit to fix first. Perhaps I’m judging harshly. Does anyone here know about this? Or live in a “Blue Zone Community®”?

We are kindred skeptical practical spirits. 🤍 I asked for more data before this goes any further - tourism revenue before and after, key indicators related to health/longevity, number of businesses participating/benefiting, etc. I’m stunned by how many popular towns in California are already pursuing this certification. Had no idea. I’ll write another cast later about the certifying process, which I learned more about today.
