They were a founding member of the EU and were in it longer than they were not…..as such most of the food laws are essentially the same so If it’s a regulatory issue then …..

Europe was a continent long before the EU. The point is that how bad British food is, this has been a running joke in Europe and elsewhere since forever. When people talk about food being better in Europe they are not talking about that particular Island nation.

Imo When people talk about the food being better they aren’t talking about culinary aspects — that is not what i was referencing They are talking about additives, chemicals, regulations that contribute to health outcomes
