Europe was a continent long before the EU. 

The point is that how bad British food is, this has been a running joke in Europe and elsewhere since forever. 

When people talk about food being better in Europe they are not talking about that particular Island nation.

I mean, fish and chips is the staple, ffs.

Imo When people talk about the food being better they aren’t talking about culinary aspects — that is not what i was referencing 

They are talking about additives, chemicals, regulations that contribute to health outcomes

If your diet doesn’t incude vegetables it really doesn’t matter what the vegetebal laws are, that’s true.

They have the same food laws as France so 
Could it be the food isn’t really better and there are other cultural differences
