THE ROAD AHEAD FOR THE FARVERSE
🌌 The Farverse 🌌
FarPets is just the first step, and building out the Farverse will take time. I see a world of interconnected gaming experiences, and partnerships with other projects. It goes beyond just pets, it’s about building a thriving onchain world. And what better place to be building than on Farcaster.
🥚 Warp Eggs 🥚
The Farcaster Free Mint will be closing soon (exact time TBD). Thanks to all of the casters who hatched their eggs and shared with the friends, it means the world! I may bring this back occasionally to onboard some new users (I think a Free Mint Fridays every now and then could be fun).
Thanks even more to those who dropped some $ on a couple extra eggs, absolute legends! The open mint on Warp Eggs will continue indefinitely for now. It’s a nice little revenue stream to keep the lights on, it will allow new users to join without too much of a barrier, and those hunting the entire collection to HATCH ‘EM ALL!
🐾 More Pets 🐾
I missed a few of people’s favourites (sorry), so there are plenty more FarPets on the way. Most of the new pets will not be animated, but they’ll be no less fun to collect. The new collection will be hatched from the same Warp Eggs, so if you’re hodling eggs you’re already ready. There will be a distinction between the original (Generation One) and the new (Generation Two) collections.

If you have hatched a pet you’re not a fan of (sorry cockroach owners 🪳), or have a few duplicates, hold onto them and keep levelling up. I hear our expert Warp Egg scientists are working on something they call “Transmutation” 🪄
⭐ Items ⭐
Pet owners will have a way to earn free items every day. Some of them will be purely cosmetic, some will be single use, and others will give your pets a long term boost. There will be a store where these items can be purchased cheaply as well.
To make the distribution and game mechanics easier, these items will be offchain and non-transferable (at least for now).
🕹️ Mini Games 🕹️
Mini games will be the primary way to earn and use items. It’s also a fun way for me to try out new ideas without having to launch entirely new Mini Apps or devote time away from the project. Some will be open to all, some will be closed to only pet owners
📣 Sharing 📣
The cast sharing has been great for engagement, exposure and getting the FarPets name out there, but it's starting to get a bit spammy. I'm still looking into ways to balance having a continuous share mechanism that feels more fresh than just posting the same things multiple times a day. Will keep rolling out new versions and testing over the coming weeks.
🔥 Streak Rewards 🔥
Committed players who come back every day will be rewarded with items, boosts and points bonuses. If you come back once a day your streak should automatically increment. You can see a countdown on the homepage of when you need to come back.
🏆 Leaderboard Rewards 🏆
Those who make their way up the leaderboard by earning points will be rewarded too, exact rewards are TBD. The longer term plan for the leaderboard will be to split it in two:
- All time leaderboard
- Weekly rolling leaderboard (think similar to Farcaster Rewards)

The $MASKS adventure is coming to an end.
It’s been a wild, intense ride.
Huge thanks to everyone who believed in us, who played along with the tips, and supported the project throughout.
We really believed in it. We gave it time, energy, and money.
But the truth is, things didn’t go as planned.
The token got farmed heavily right from the start, which broke the balance early on.
Then the whole social token trend faded quicker than expected.
We tried to push against the tide for a while, but it just wasn’t working.
We kept hoping, kept exploring ways to bring momentum back.
We started working on several ideas. But the attention has clearly moved on.
It’s not easy to stop something you’ve built with this much passion.
But sometimes, you have to be honest with yourself and know when it’s time to let go.
- One last claim for LPs will happen on July 4.
- All team-provided liquidity will be removed by July 31.
Make sure to take care of things before then.
