noticed i now have a heavy preference to write (casts, replies, anything thoughtful) on my laptop vs my phone unless necessary.

i’ll read and consume on my phone, but not writing anything at length.

almost fully replaced texting on my phone with voice memos, otherwise i’m just replying in spurts of a few words.

follow up: iMessage’s voice-memo-to-transcript feature is what unlocked this for me

only option used to speak -> listen, but many of my friends work in offices or may be on the go without headphones

its now speak —> listen and/or read

my friends can read a transcript much more easily and quickly

You can use notes app now too 

Create note 

Options > add voice memo 

Then “transcribe” and it auto pastes into the note 

Can add pictures and links etc too
