Ritual is building an AI-focused Layer 1 that acts as a co-processor for blockchains. More specifically, Ritual enables blockchain applications to offload complex AI computations to its infrastructure. While it operates as its own standalone L1 chain, it also serves as an AI co-processor for other chains, executing tasks and returning the results. Technically, Ritual consists of a two-layer architecture: - Infernet : A decentralized oracle network (DON) that runs AI inference off-chain and sends the results back on-chain. - Ritual Chain : A native L1 designed to perform AI computations directly on-chain. It’s built on an extended EVM++ architecture, enabling advanced programmability and integration of AI into smart contracts.
