Children can spend 20 minutes watching an ant carry a crumb.
Somewhere along the way, we become too busy for that.
We start reserving wonder for oceans, mountains, eclipses... things large enough to interrupt us.
Meanwhile, the marvelous keeps happening at smaller scales.
Rain finding its way down a window.
Someone remembering exactly how you take your chai.
Maybe growing older doesn't make the world less magical.
We just become harder to interrupt.
