/chelseafc to launch legal complaint over Man City's Enzo Maresca pursuit. Stamford Bridge club unhappy with the effect Italian's abrupt departure had on their season which could result in no European football.

City getting Maresca free of charge does seem pretty dodgy if they didn't sack him.
Don't know how they could prove it but couldn't this be considered tampering? He was probably receiving reassurances from City while still working at Chelsea.
I don't know if we will ever get enough information to conclusively tell, but it sure seems like it.
Ornstein reported that Maresca had disclosed multiple accounts of contact with City representatives about the potential manager vacancy last year, before he just straight up quit mid season. Seen some reports he had some sort of assurances/pre-agreement made for some time, but unsure how credible those are.
