Microsoft May Be Reversing Its Online Account Requirement Microsoft is considering dropping the requirement to create an online account during the Windows 11 installation process, following years of heavy criticism. Although there has been no official announcement, internal signs within the company suggest that this requirement is facing pushback, even among its own employees (I'd be pissed off too! 😂) In theory, the original idea was to integrate users into the Microsoft ecosystem right from the start in order to enhance the user experience, synchronize data, and boost user retention. However, many users prefer greater privacy and would rather avoid relying on an internet connection or a cloud-based account. If this change is confirmed, it would make creating local accounts hassle-free, marking a significant shift in Microsoft's strategy, likely driven by widespread discontent, market competition, and industry demands. Yes, there are currently ways to bypass this step, but it isn't exactly straightforward for most people.
