Playing it safe feels prudent.
Until you realize avoiding risk was the biggest risk.
The mortgage, the stable job, the relationship that's fine, none of it feels like a bet. But it is. You're betting the cost of staying is lower than the cost of leaving. Sometimes that's right. Often it's just the calculation nobody bothers with because the status quo doesn't feel like an active choice.
It is though. You're making it constantly.
