Avoid or minimize storing sensitive data on third-party clouds.
If you need to use the cloud, encrypt files locally before uploading them (using tools like Cryptomator).
For most personal documents and photos, solutions like Syncthing offer much greater control and a lower risk of unauthorized access or changes to privacy policies, provided you take good care of your devices.
Remember, not everything should always be easily accessible.
