Elon Musk announces XChat with Bitcoin-style encryption Elon Musk has introduced XChat, X's new DM feature. XChat includes end-to-end encryption with 4-digit passcode and disappearing messages. Users can also make audio/video calls without phone number, and upload any kind of file. XChat is built on Rust and uses encryption similar to Bitcoin's encryption. It is rolling out in beta right now for select users and will roll out for more users soon.
