Most politicians thump their chest: and keep ranting about GDP. But, they don't tell you 1 fact- 

That if every person in India earns 500Rs/day for their survival. This brings 50% of our GDP!

- 900Million * 500Rs * 365= roughly 1.9Tr$ 

India's total GDP= 4Tr$
So half our GDP comes from here.
