People given to a certain kind of conspiracy theory are going to have a field day with Trump saying "God bless Israel" before "God bless America."

I'm talking about antisemites who explain the pro-Israel decisions of the U.S. government as the Jews controlling everything as puppet masters of the universe.

okay, there definitely are antisemitic theories of "Jews control X" however, we do have retrospective on U.S. involvement in Vietnam at the behest of the British/French lobby. coincidentally, we had repeat conspiracy of false flag attacks (Tonkin, U.S.S. Maine, etc) I think current events suggest a corollary to this; the U.S. has overextended itself again for another state's existential interest. not only that, I would suggest that "pro-Israel" seems to include this nihilistic spoiling for insurgent violence, as further justification for further violence. personally, I'm disgusted by these decisions that disregard/frontrun democratic checks in both states, and I wonder when we're going to have two-state stability that's contested in strictly economic terms. otherwise, I think you're right. there will be more discussion on how this persists, and I also think it is unbelievably evil that our economy should be jeopardized so flippantly for these proxy wars.
