OK I finally finished listening to Zohran Mamdani's appearance on Odd Lots. I thought he did well. I wish he had engaged with the Joe Weisenthal's questions about why non-white working class voters seem to recoil most at left-wing policies that high-educated whites embrace. Overall, though, I felt the interview was a little softball. Given how much more likely he is to secure the nomination, I wish Andrew Cuomo would go on a show like this! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yn0sFssPZTg

I do also think from a campaign perspective he did well. I just wanted more from the hosts in terms of understanding details but not his fault and also I get it, it’s not a 3 hour podcast Also yes, to @ted point that’s an interesting one that, I get you don’t want to philosophize on the campaign trail and/or alienate your biggest supporters but I do feel like the luxury beliefs is an accurate lens that wasn’t discussed

Definitely agree -- and feels particularly relevant given the admirably disciplined focus of his campaign on cost of living issues. It does beg the question why a candidate so targeted at people's lived experiences has weighed in so many times on foreign policy issues, promising to engage in hostile relations with the governments of Israel and India.
