I rarely talk about what’s behind my work. it’s more comfortable to let it speak for itself or simply say nothing. So, I’m going to take a risk and start a series of casts called "What the Hell Was I Thinking When I Created This Animation?" 😅 "Interzone" 🔊 is a small reflection of one of my favorite scifi novels and the nightmare of any psychologist: 'Solaris' by Stanislaw Lem, adapted into film twice: the masterful version by Andrei Tarkovsky and the underrated more recent version by Steven Soderbergh. In a way, the flow beneath the bridge in "Interzone" is meant to evoke the conscious ocean of Solaris, as a form of collective mind accompanying humans who cross the bridge together, all walking in the same direction. This is how we grow, how we progress as a species. As a counterpoint to the current trend toward individualism, where only I, my own satisfaction, and the immediate present matter.

How nice to see you tell what's behind your creative process. It's a risk, yes, but also an act of generosity🫂🫠 “Interzone” struck me precisely for that collective, almost ritual, sensation of crossing. Solaris is a very powerful reference, and I like how you made that ocean-thought into something apparently simple like the flow under a bridge. Sure, sometimes it's interesting to let the images speak but every now and then giving voice to the subtext creates surprising connections. Thanks for doing so!! 😍🖤👏👏

Thanks a lot for your comment, like most of yours, it's super insightful and means a lot to me. Funny thing is, I actually struggle a bit doing this kind of thing, which is kind of ironic since it’s basically what I do for a living irl 😅 😂 . Maybe it’s because here I don’t have a script to lean on… and definitely because this feels way more personal. 🖤 🖤
