a quick thread on how aaron judge made a few small adjustments, why he likely made them, and how they have contributed to his historic year so far.
the small adjustments:
- moving up in the batters box about 2.6"
- moving closer to the plate by about 1.2"
- closing his stance by about 1 degree
this uses statcast data + baseball savant visualization to illustrate how judge's adjustments have improved his performance
