It ultimately signal you are give a shit. That you care about the world. You are saying this is worth fighting for, and I'd like to point my life energy towards this thing. Especially if the motivation underneath the effort is implicitly not looking for an outcome or angling for a result. It often makes it more valiant if that makes any sense. 

This often translates to sexiness because what is sexiness but wanting another person who will exude unbridled life force into the world without flooding or destroying you with it.

Eros, at its core whilst tied to sex, is life energy. Sex creates life too. In this sense having and seeing it unfiltered unequivocally makes you feel similarly. It’s biological and psychological / emotional and all can be true I think
