In an increasingly prompting driven world, guiding and steering through natural language becomes the primary interface. Which means -- clearly articulating anything in words, in writing is the crux of everything

So in this world, what do you do? You read - you read and read and read then the writing just emerges almost as if by accident

Always has been the case - that everything has been word driven from the beginning, whether orally or not, it's always been driven by force behind the words, by the narrative, and it's been about articulating that drive in a way, translated through words

not sure if it’s this case, but this resembles the Illusion of explanatory depth. 

we’re convinced we understand how complex systems work - from zippers to economies - until we attempt to explain them in detail. that’s when the gaps become glaring.  

some fascinating experiments demonstrate this, like Rozenblit and Keil’s 2002 Yale study where participants self-rated their understanding:  
before explaining: "I know this at a 7/10 level"  
after attempting to describe: “now I’d rate it 3/10"

How often it is that I have an idea about how I think the world works. In my head it’s so clear, and then I start writing it out. And then I realize how unclear my actual thought is and I have to process it through either writing or a conversation in my head.

Indeed, if we think in verbal form, then how accurately and clearly we can operate with words largely determines how clear and structured our thinking is in principle
