Just reread this because why not Reading Hegel feels like talking to a friend where he’s sometimes he says things and it’s like Tim and Eric Awesome Show mind explosion. It really is amazing, actually. So dense, not in an unreadable way, more like a neutrino star — density is really high. Which creates a lot of gravity around short sequences of words. And other times you’re like… what are you talking about man. But later on the parts of it click, or they don’t. Either way, later on you’re still sort of thinking about it. It just depends. Depends on what? Not sure.

Whenever someone says Hegel, I also still think of this: "Beckenbauer is very much a surprise here" lmao https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfduUFF_i1A

the problem with hegel as a popular philosopher is that a lot of his work assumes nontrivial pre-existing knowledge of german idealism (especially Kant and the developments/responses his works inspired)

i get what you mean; the most insightful ideas are hard (or even impossible) to hold in mind, depending on set setting context sobriety (lol, but real.) etc. anyway, i guess i need to read it. thanks for sharing 🫡
