I guess we’re doing a new round of intros to curate better circles and make farcaster a better home 🙃 Quick intro - Got into blockchain in ‘18 as NEM offered me a cool job as head of partnerships & ecosystem growth (aka a little bit of everything incl discovering new blockchain features, running industry workshops, STO working groups, collabs with unis, local meetups, system integrator onboardings..) - thought crypto was amazing, went down rabbithole after rabbithole and put all the knowledge on a Blockchain Comparison website - Due to a lot of BS within NEM my Europe team decided just 1y later to do its own thing and we started fullblock consulting (and helped more blockchains with tech & ecosystem, consulted & built products (identity, ticketing, loyalty system) - Blockchain Comparison became focus, tinkered on all kinds of crypto use cases, got involved with all the blockchains, connected parties, realized how much Ethereum led on ecosystem, devs, tools, apps.. while new upstarts like Near offered great tech - DeFi happened and I got extremely excited and I turned more & more to investing - found it crazy how people supported flawed stuff & random shit in 2022 and projects repeated the same mistakes others did years ago, watched how things imploded, continued research and simply bought new/old interesting assets at cheap prices but didn’t bother getting nersniped by the next l2, restaking, airdrop farm or shitcoins - joined farcaster in the search for web3 social, better crypto chats, more alpha and became very active with degen (which I blame for losing my tight risk management) - Farcaster occassionally turned great for what I looked for (crypto forum, crypto experiments) and I got hooked and nerdsniped by fair ICOs, appcoins, & started to give back 🙃 - Still keen on making crypto great, finally unlock its potential in combination with real products & value-add delivered. More building than investing. I still see Farcaster and $clanker well-positioned (as ecosystem, from risk-reward) to lead this new movement as a superapp that brings crypto people together and 3rd party stakeholders to permissionlessly build on the cutting-edge - similar to ETH advantage early-on!
