@juli

when you do wallet clean up 6 months late, or rather 1.5 years late.. and it's really not that easy to find tokens to be bullish on. L1s: most still expensive, a few have some differentiation in terms of focus and target audience (eth > institutions, sol > memes, near > ai) L2s: They are essentially startups that may get some monetary, economic premium one day but there is little rev, growth and high competition. with recent Ethereum roadamp updates hard to invest in DeFi: token economics start to look slightly more investable, but economics still bad (uni), especially in bear markets. select few make revenue but have other issues in their ecosystem (e.g. aave); risk of getting hacked should also not be underestimated NFTs: deplatformed Games: fun during good times, hard to build, even harder to invest in (except we'll become more realistic with community impact, valuations. There won't be (m)any AAA games launched by indie devs that become B$ projects* but a clankermon game or generally miniapp games may become self-sustaining, be valued with a few millions and can be an amazing value-add for farcaster, wallets & drive / retain users) Launchpads: Have shown surprising revenue sutainability aka resiliency throughout the bear market or with certain spikes but there's also reasons Pump & Clanker don't get more buy-in Memes: can certainly pump but it's a fast rotation game until risk-on comes back more broadly or there's some sort of wealth effect Ai agents: Some make small revenues but how sustainable are those revenues, how much do you want to trust the devs? Crypto x Ai platforms: Highest likelihood to get some outside interest, money inflows, also potential for real adoption. there's certainly value in funding ai agents, enabling them with their own wallets, and running commerce on permissionless onchain rails. Can crypto projects add real value though to mega platforms like chatgpt & claude or will it remain another venue for devs that love to do some hackathon projects and a (shitcoin) crypto game for onchain degens. The top tokenization layer, with some economic flywheels, interesting ai research, products could likely be interesting for a range of investors? Overall, also outside crypto, it will be interesting for investors if they continue to plan with 10y or 20y of revenues or if we see new forms of startups that jump from hype to hype, build for breakout events..
