i live in a small city at the end of the world. maybe 50k people? idk. today a policeman was shot by the narcos and there was a mess all around the city with traffic because they closed the streets to find them but it makes me think: what's the endgame of this fight between police enforcement and drugs? it doesn't seem to be getting better and it is clear to me that: 1) narcos will just get more brutal and hardcore 2) why would people want to be policemen if their life is on the line? what's their incentive other than money and honor? what happens when there is not enough people to do law enforcement? (and when the law clearly doesn't help for people consuming less drugs)
