My best tactic for breaking out of an infinite scrolling short video ludic loop:

1. Wait until you hit a video that doesn’t instantly appeal to you lizard brain
2. Notice that moment of boredom and use it to clue in
3. Scroll up instead of down, ideally go back 4 or 5 videos
4. Your brain will be like: “uhhhh, what is this dumb shit, I’ve already seen this”
5. Turn off your phone and bury it under a rock that has no earthly business being in that Maine hayfield.
