Unichain transactions are basically free ๐ธ Median fees have crashed below every major network: ๐ธ $UNI โช a cent ๐ธ $SOL still ultra-low but higher ๐ธ $BASE climbing with activity ๐ธ $BNB steady in the sub-penny range ๐ธ $BTC sits over a dollar When users can move value for almost nothing, new onchain use cases open up fast. https://onchain.org/onchain-intelligence-dashboard/blockchain-transaction-costs-overview/

Can you give a brief explanation on what "median fees" are ?

Median fees are the middle value of all transaction fees during a specific period. That means 50% of users paid more and 50% paid less. ๐น Why not use average (mean) fees? Because a few super high-value transactions (like MEV bots or whales) can skew the average and make it look like fees are higher than what most users actually pay. ๐น Why median is better: It filters out extreme outliers and gives a truer picture of what a โtypicalโ user is paying. ๐ So when we talk about median fees, weโre asking: โWhat does a normal user pay to send a transaction right now?โ Itโs the most accurate way to compare real user costs across blockchains.
