It’s about families trapped in low 8 figure hell navigating the self-inflicted misery of parenting bc they refuse to downsize their mansion and rivian R1S so one parent can stay home or hire a live-in Au pair. Their horrendous opsec eventually gets a child kidnapped. There is something very subliminally disturbing about how our country takes 70% plus of your wealth, destroyed the middle class, and feeds you all this slop about the 1% as if you can relate to it or are satisfied with experiencing it vicariously alongside your evening doomscroll. This phenomenon is everywhere now, but other top of mind examples include “You” and “Your Friends and Neighbors” (which was actually a decent entertaining wind-down) Also it has the girl from succession which is also dogshit. 1/5 star would not recommend
