No problem. And to answer your other question, yes, it is kind of a corner case for most streams. But not new users trying the app out. Imagine you started up the mini-app. Created your pool. So far so good. You start interacting with casts. Nothing happens. You click and unclick the like button, maybe try a refresh. Eventually, you see the stream. You think, 'ok, it's just slow' Then you go about your business. It can work like this, and that's what I'll build if no one updates the SDK. But loading UI is a thing for a reason. Precisely so users don't have to deal with that overhead. It's a corner case that matters, imo.

No. User A wants to see loading UI for their own interaction, lol.

Because I don't have access to the event. It happens in farcaster, not in my mini-app. Which is why I'm asking for an event handler in the SDK

Kind of. User A is on the mini-app. They are using it for the first time. User A likes User B's cast User A would like to see that the stream is in progress Mini app would like to show this 2-4s earlier so that the (potentially new) user doesn't wonder if it works or not User A would like to know once the stream is finally open and confirmed (also keep in mind that there are 2 TXs happening after the webhook)

If the user has the mini-app open, I would like them to see a response from their actions. Refreshing the page to see if it's working isn't great UX.

I imagine first time users will. Most will let it run in the background after a while.

Every time the user likes a cast, or recasts a cast, we're going to open a stream from the user to the author of the cast they are interacting with. Sort of like Noice, but streaming from a set monthly budget. I need to display a loading or optimistic UI while the webhook and TXs confirm

@deodad I saw your message in the zoom call. Didn't have a chance to respond to it. I saw these (https://miniapps.farcaster.xyz/docs/sdk/events) earlier, but the event types don't cover my use case.

Sort of like Noice, but streaming from a set monthly budget. 1s would be a major improvement, and I would really love for this to happen. Would also still love something in the SDK so I can display loading UI. Our app is going to be real-time.

I would like the SDK to expose listeners for user actions (like, cast, reply, recast) to the mini app from the main client. This would help with UX as we can see the app optimistically update before the Neynar webhook confirms (which takes 3-5s). Also, the wallet should support EIP 7702 if it doesn't already.

@farcaster is farcaster wallet supporting 7702 on the horizon?

Grok can definitely provide some opposing views. Especially if you ask it to. Sometimes without you even asking.

Escrow type mechanisms that pay once the work is completed is the fairest and most straightforward, imo.

Can you provide some details? What is the group trying to accomplish? Who are they? It's impossible to say one governance framework is more efficient than others when we don't know the context.
