Vitalik’s idea of “sanctuary technologies” is powerful.
Ethereum as shared digital space with no owner.
Infrastructure that prevents total control.
But there’s a product question hiding inside it:
What does sanctuary feel like on a Tuesday when nothing is wrong?
Speculation worked in crypto because the job was clear.
Sanctuary solves protection, but protection is episodic.
People don’t build daily habits around emergencies.
Until sanctuary tech satisfies a Tuesday job
(functional + emotional + social)
The architecture will be right…
And the users will still leave.
Sanctuary without daily jobs is a cathedral in the desert.
