It's impossible to not-used centralized tech today. I think we can praise decentralization as a future or emerging common good and still use centralized tech in the present.
It only takes one "open" and cheap/free social app to allow coordination of 100K people who lead a campaign to change the head of government and reverse the social network bans. That's a big effin deal.
