Why I Stopped Publishing on @paragraph: Experiments Fail, But Recognition Shouldn't
18 months of consistent writing, millions of illiquid tokens that were hard to claim or exit, and then a quiet pivot with zero acknowledgment for the creators who built momentum.
I started posting on Paragraph in November 2024 and kept at it regularly for 18 months. I believed in the experiment: tokenizing writing through Post Coins and Writer Coins so readers could support ideas and creators could share in the upside.
Even during the height of the token meta, the reality was frustrating. I earned millions of tokens with theoretical value over $1,000, but they were highly illiquid and genuinely hard to claim and exit. Vesting schedules, low trading volume, and fragmented liquidity meant most of us couldn’t realize meaningful value. The promised virtuous cycle rarely materialized beyond a few high-profile cases.
