When you encourage your most dedicated contributors to invest time under one set of incentives, then move on without addressing the outcomes (especially when tokens were illiquid and difficult even at peak hype), it erodes trust. It makes me—and likely others—lose interest in doing further business with the platform.
A Reasonable Expectation
This doesn’t require reviving failed markets or massive payouts. Simple recognition would help:
One year of premium features/highest-tier access for consistent early writers.
Transparent reporting on the coin experiment’s results.
Basic goodwill for participants left with hard-to-exit positions.
Web3 and creator platforms frequently talk about ownership, alignment, and community. In practice, this felt like contributors bore the downside of the experiment while the platform moved to the next narrative.
