YouTube just dropped its own CapCut - and it is completely free Google has launched YouTube Create, an official AI powered video editing app for iPhone that lets you combine clips, photos and audio, add filters and effects, auto‑captions, noise cleanup and voiceovers in one place. It also includes thousands of royalty‑free music tracks and sound effects, beat‑sync tools and one‑tap upload straight to your YouTube channel, effectively putting CapCut‑style workflows into a fully free, first‑party app. On the AI side, YouTube already offers Veo 3 Fast inside Shorts for text to video generation, so Create fits as the editing layer on top of those clips rather than a direct Veo 3 front end. Google says YouTube Create will keep getting major feature updates over time, and for now you may need to switch your App Store region to a supported country to install it.
