Gemini now lets you edit images by doodling, and verify AI videos Google is rolling out an image markup flow in the Gemini app: upload a photo, open Mark up, circle or sketch the exact area you want changed, and Gemini applies edits without you writing a long prompt. Text prompts still work, but the point is speed and precision with a finger. Gemini also adds SynthID video verification, scanning both audio and visuals for Google DeepMind’s invisible watermark and reporting where it was detected, including timestamps. Upload limits are 100 MB and 90 seconds, and it is available across the countries and languages supported by the Gemini app.

Google turns Gemini into a live translator inside your headphones Google is integrating Gemini into Google Translate so text translations handle idioms, slang and local expressions much more naturally instead of word by word output. The upgraded text translation is rolling out in the US and India for English and nearly 20 languages, including Spanish, Hindi, Chinese, Japanese and German, on Android, iOS and the web. At the same time, a new live translation beta lets Gemini perform speech to speech translation straight into your headphones, preserving the speaker’s tone, intonation and rhythm. The beta is currently available on Android in the US, Mexico and India with support for 70+ languages, with iOS and more countries coming in 2026.
